| DESCRIPTION | This course introduces the foundational principles of electronic circuits, serving as a critical bridge between fundamental physics and modern microelectronic systems. Students will learn to leverage the concept of "abstraction" to simplify complex behaviors, starting with the MOSFET as a basic digital switch and progressing to analog amplifiers, logic gates, and memory elements. Key topics include the lumped circuit abstraction, RC dynamics, energy and delay mechanisms, and small-signal modeling. By combining theoretical analysis with hands-on circuit simulations, students will develop a strong physical intuition for how device-level characteristics dictate system-level performance. |
