| DESCRIPTION | Taught by professional script writer and animation director, this course aims to use AI to assist in creating story-driven projects, combining narrative theory with AI technology to help students deeply understand and produce high-quality short story scripts. Through several story creation assignments, students can quickly get started and achieve quasi-professional story writing ability, accounting for about half of the course. These assignments help students understand how to create stories that touch the audience, the standard of professional-level scripts, and the role of AI. The other half of the course selects one excellent script from the previous assignments to create an AI short film, covering the multi-modal AI animation process from text to visuals and audio. It is a highly interdisciplinary, practical course focused on in-depth story practice. |

| DESCRIPTION | Students will embark on a comprehensive exploration that lays a robust foundation for their artistic prowess, with a specialized emphasis on its significance in the realm of animation making. The course commences by refining students' observational and measuring skills, providing expert tutelage in mastering various effective approaches. These encompass the art of simplifying intricate human structures into simple forms, capturing motion, and recreating dynamic poses with original character designs or visual styles. Furthermore, the curriculum introduces students to cutting-edge digital techniques for figure drawing, leveraging tools such as digital tablets and VR sketching. Through an in-depth study of the human figure, students will analyze the fundamental elements of drawing a human form and cultivate their observational drawing skills by delving into proportions, forms, and gestures.
