DESCRIPTION | Atmospheric modeling and exposure assessment are key tools for dealing with air pollution and climate change. This course provides an overview of atmospheric modeling and exposure assessment, as well as an examination of how air pollution affects human health. The course begins with an introduction to atmospheric modeling, which covers numerical and statistical models used to forecast air quality, simulate the fate and source of ambient contaminants, and study climate evolution. The second half of the course focuses on exposure assessment, including methodologies and procedures for assessing exposure, dose-response relationships, and risk assessment. This course aims to provide students with the knowledge and abilities needed to conduct atmospheric simulations and health assessments using a variety of tools and approaches, as well as a deeper understanding of air quality management and climate change problems. |
