DESCRIPTION | This course explores the dynamic world of proteins and their critical roles in biological systems and clinical research. Participants will learn advanced methodologies for protein characterization and functional omics, encompassing both traditional techniques (e.g., protein separation, purification, and analysis of protein complexes in chemical biology) and cutting-edge omics strategies (e.g., high-throughput identification, quantification, and analysis of proteins and their post-translational modifications). Students will gain a robust understanding of the classical approaches in protein biochemistry, including isolation and functional analysis of proteins, and Modern omics technologies for system-wide profiling of proteins in biological and clinical contexts. The course also provides a framework for students to design and develop their own research projects, applying these tools to solve the challenges in neurobiology, biomedicine and clinical applications. |
